From data infrastructure to the cloud, I’m excited about building systems that are resilient, efficient, and usable. When I’m not hunched over my Mac, I like to read, jog, watch (too much) Netflix, and play the piano.
Pioneered a new design and implementation for a Go service that interacts with Kubernetes to reliably submit Spark Jobs to Hadoop. This internship taught me the importance of prioritization, building trust across teams, and maintainable software design and implementation.
Built a sentence generator based on Twitter data in Python, an Alexa trivia game in NodeJS, and a client application in PHP. This internship allowed me to dive deeply into a wide variety of technologies, fields, and business problems!
Led a team of 4 and helped develop a Cybersecurity statistics manager in React with Google Sheets as the data store. This internship gave me an opportunity to rapidly prototype, manage code changes in Git, and collaboratively solve technical issues.
Led a team of several interns in proposing improvements to legacy Operations and BI systems in Sharepoint and SQL. This internship taught me how to present my ideas, balance user needs with system constraints, and effective leadership.
Daniel is a motivated and highly capable engineer who brings a strong sense of ownership to his work. He was able to pick up new technologies quickly, and contributed immensely to several mission-critical projects at Kernel Labs. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Daniel and I would recommend him to any prospective employer.
Daniel was one of my favorite interns during in his tenure at Big fish games. He was very attentive, and great at asking questions, which allowed him to grasp the subject matter quickly. He always seemed motivated and willing to put in the extra work to make the client happy. The energy he brings with him is the type of energy that us and a lot of employers are seeking as it helps to encourage and energize workers around him to deliver high caliber work. I highly recommend Daniel in any future employment.
Daniel automatically stepped up to help create coherence amongst many tasks and naturally exhibited leadership skills; he stands out in this way. His curiosity and willingness to ask questions to create clarity was a delight. It’s clear he challenges himself and he’ll challenge you too as a result; all in a calm, earnest demeanor. I recommend working with him for any project involving logic, technical prowess, planning, and leadership.
